1)  “What’s the #1 Single Most Common Cause of Pain in My Shoulder?”

 The shoulder has more motion than any other joint in the body.

And the more something can move…usually, the less stable it is…

In the shoulder, you have 4 muscles that help keep the joint stable…

Do you know what those 4 muscles are called?

That’s right…the Rotator Cuff.

The Rotator Cuff is a group of 4 muscles that help stabilize the shoulder…

For many people 35 years of age and older, one of the muscles can be pinched…

(The big, fancy Physical Therapy name for it is “Rotator Cuff Impingement”)

 

2)  “I have Shoulder Pain; How do I know I have a Rotator Cuff Impingement?”

There’s a quick, simple test you can do right now to see if you have “Impingement.”shoulder.jpg

  1. With your right arm, reach behind your back…and up as far as you can.
  2. Relax your right arm.
  3. Then repeat with your left arm to compare.

If this causes you pain in the shoulder you’re having trouble with…then there’s a good chance you may have “Impingement.”
